With summer fast approaching, we know everyone is getting excited for Monterey Car Week and the Classic Motorsports Monterey Kickoff presented by Sunoco. We sure are!
Pre-registration is required for all vehicles that wish to enter the show area, and the show is limited to 200 cars. Registrants in excess of the 200 car cap will be placed on a waitlist.
If you have already registered your car, you’re all set for now! Our selection committee plans to begin reviewing entrees later this month, so keep an eye on your email inbox and your MotorsportReg account to see if your car has been accepted. Cars that are not accepted will not be charged a registration fee.
Each year we kick off the Monterey festivities with our own welcome party, filling neighboring downtown Pacific Grove, California, with awesome cars, great people, perfect weather, and the kind of magic that only happens during Monterey Car Week–set for August 13, 2024, at 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Spectator entry is free–just walk right in–with no registration required.
Vehicle entry is $75, and all cars must pre-register online. No registrations will be accepted at the show gate.

Tuesday at Monterey Car Week has always been a special day for us. Every member of the Classic Motorsports staff has fond memories of spending their morning at the beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea Concours on the Avenue, then hosting our famous Monterey Kickoff in nearby Pacific Grove Tuesday afternoon.
Sadly, we’ll have to break with part of that tradition this August: Due to founder Doug Freedman’s passing last October, Concours on the Avenue will not be returning for 2022.
However, we’ll continue the rest of our Tuesday tradition by hosting our annual Monterey Kickoff to start off Monterey Car Week the only way we know how: With a free show featuring 150 amazing cars, tons of vendors, shops and restaurants, and the Monterey Car Week ambiance you can’t find anywhere else.
